Grant Hanley a new five-year contract.
The Scotland Under-19 captain made his Premier League debut in the final game
of last season against Aston Villa and is now under contract at Ewood Park
until summer 2015.
"It is brilliant, it is what I've aspired to, it is what all the hard work
goes in for," Hanley told the club's official website.
"But as they say, the hard work starts now, now that the contract has signed.
"I started off with the academy then I worked my way through the reserves and
I was lucky enough to get a start with the first team at the end of the
season.
"But I know what I have to do, I have to keep my head down, work hard every
day in training and do the right things.
"I've not set any targets or goals for myself, just to work hard and to take
every day as it comes and see what happens."

A NFL pointspreads are exactly that, a pre-established point difference between the two sides that will, for all intents and purposes, create a handicap that evens things out, and in doing so, produces comparable wagering activity on both sides of that proposition. So in lieu of a odds figure in which to bet the team to win outright, the Bears might be a three-point favorite over the New York Giants, and a 17-point favorite over the also-ran. Now that the team that is the underdog can "get" points, there can be equal action on both sides.
In sportsbooks, this is usually done with efficiency by charging the losing bettors 10% extra - in effect, bettors are laying 11/10 on those games. So they are actually betting $110 to win $100. If they lose, they pay the "vig." If they win, they simply collect.
