The 6-foot-11 center suffered the injury February 6 against Phoenix, coming down awkwardly on the ankle at the end of the third quarter. | Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - Golden State Warriors guard Monta Ellis will be sidelined 1-to-2 weeks because of stiffness in his surgically repaired left ankle, the team announced Sunday. Ellis, who missed the first 43 games of the season after tearing the deltoid ligament during an offseason moped accident, has been experiencing occasional stiffness in the ankle since returning to the lineup on January 23. In 13 games this season, Ellis is averaging 13.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists. |
